About Me
Hello! My name is
Nick Malishchak.
I'm a UX/UI Designer who is obsessed with the pursuit of bettering myself and others.
My route to design was a non-traditional one. During my undergraduate studies, I was a music performance major with a specialty in classical guitar. Pretty soon I discovered my love for teaching music, and I did so both privately as well as at several wonderful public school districts. But when I discovered UX Design, it was a real eureka moment...a field that perfectly combines creativity and analysis? It sounds too good to be true!
When I'm not working, I can be found playing guitar and singing in my cover band, watching the Mets or Rangers, or getting outside and moving.
I'm a musician.
Whether it's playing in my cover band, or recording a video as the rain delay "Sad Sax Man" for the New York Yankees, my love of performing will never leave me.
I'm a hiker.
I recently discovered a love for challenging hikes. Two of my most recent excursions were Mt. Madison in The Presidentials, and Gray's Peak (a "14er"!), as seen here.
I'm a chef and an aspiring baker.
In the last 5 years I've gotten really into cooking and, little by little, baking. Some of my best creations include lemon raspberry scones, and nutella banana bread. This was an attempt at a hummingbird cake, which was...not so successful, though it looked good and I learned a lot!
But that's enough about me, tell me about YOU!
